Military Families Seeking Aid

With today being Veteran's Day I wanted to post something about military families. According to a recent NBC report, 25% of military families currently are seeking food aid. This is according to a recent study released by Feeding America. Please click on the link below to read about the problem.

Thanksgiving Deals

It has been a while since I have posted on this blog. We are still working hard to purchase items at a low cost for a food pantry. This week we found some awesome deals just in time for Thanksgiving.

Here is what we found:

Kroger"s

Canned Soup-Mushroom or Cream of Chicken
     The soup was .88 each. You had to buy 10. With coupons we got them for .76 each
Green Giant Vegetables
     If you bought ten they were .49 each. We didn't have any coupons but this is still a great deal.

Kroger's ten items mega deal is definitely worth checking out this week.

Giant Eagle

Spaghetti O's
     Buy ten for $8.00. With coupons we got them for just .56 each.
